Wherefore Art Thou Today?
There are many others of course, and you may not agree with my list, but these are the ones that come directly to mind, because they all put America first. Today, our government is riddled with politicians that graduated from the Neville Chamberlain School of Capitulation and Naiveté, who cower before our enemies, rather than standing up and crying; “This is America, my beloved country, and if you attempt to harm her in any way, you will feel the swift justice of our righteous wrath.”
Are you a loser? Do you think America is a loser? If not, wake up and do your part to put America back on the right track. America’s politicians are elected to serve us, not be served. So remind them of that, repeatedly. If they refuse to listen, replace them with others who will listen. We are in the mess we are in, because the American voter has abdicated his power and let it happen. If you're not happy with what is going on in this country, tell those in government what you want. If you don’t, they'll do whatever they want to do, because you haven’t shown any interest. Political correctness, socialism and slovenliness, is going to destroy America. Is that what you want? Take five, maybe ten minutes, once a week, to send the President, your Senators and your Representative an e-mail telling them what you expect of them and how you feel about today’s issues. You can put together a short form letter and use it once a week, and rotate through the recipients. You don't want your e-mail blocked because you're a nuisance The letter can be changed as issues change. The squeaky wheel gets the grease for a reason, and that reason is numbers. They aren't going to read what you write, but they have someone tracking the numbers. It was numbers, or the volume of messages, that shut down the immigration bill and the same process should be used repeatedly to remind them who has the power in this country. Use the links below to make your wishes and concerns known. If you can spend the time you do, on blog sites and interactive forums each day, you can certainly spend ten minutes being a responsible citizen. Just voting to change the party in control is not going to get the job done. There are good Americans in both parties and you must separate the wheat from the chaff. Use your vote to elect those who support the Constitution and the American way, and are willing to fight to ensure its continuation.
We must put real education back in our schools. Not everyone can or should go to college. Only those who have earned it and are capable of attending higher education should go. It does no good to crutch someone through high school, college or university, regardless of their race, only to have them fail, or be unable to compete in the job marketplace. Maybe taking a step backwards can lead the way to more opportunities for many. Prepare the kids, by the end of eighth grade, to either go on to college prep courses in high school or transfer to vocational schools. Not everyone can be a doctor, lawyer, or stockbroker. We need butchers, bakers and jet engine mechanics also. And you know what? No matter what we do to avoid it there will always be some that are simply faiures at everything they try. As an example, where I grew up, I didn't actually meet a black person until I was in high school, where he taught. Our section of town was very white. One of the famlies that lived on the street behind us had four boys, Lawrence, Harvey, Arley and Duane. Lawrence, the oldest, was the only one to graduate from high school and ended up driving a cab. Arley spent three years in the ninth grade, before he gave up and quit school. I know that if Arley had been routed through a vocational school he would have made an excellent mechanic, as working on cars was his passion, but he was an acedemic failure, and needed a high school diploma to get a decent job. This was fifty years ago when a high school diploma carried some weight and personal failure was an accepted fact of life. Failure is no longer an option. Let’s all help to get America back on track. If we don’t do it nobody will and our children’s children could grow up in a third world dictatorship, or even worse, a world Caliphate. As a nation we deserve better than that. The sacrifices our forefathers made to keep this nation free mustn’t have been in vain. ![]()
