Another rare piece from Hauber & Reuther in Freising. This piece began life as a Freising #55. After Albert Hauber and Hans Reuther became partners, this piece was shipped to the Saeltzer workshop for enameling. After it was enameled it became Hauber & Reuther #48 and it is the only one of its kind known. This is one of eight different character steins known to have been done in this manner.
