One thing history has taught us about "radical" Islam, is that it is committed to the forceful conversion, to Islam, of all non-Muslims and the destruction of all those who will not convert.

On December 7, 1941 the United States was attacked by the nation of Japan in a sneak attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii that killed 2,403 which incensed and mobilized the entire nation. Soon after, Germany also declared war on the United States. In that war, which lasted four years for the United States, from Dec. 7, 1941 to August 15, 1945, the United States lost 291,557 killed and another 670,846 wounded, before the enemy surrendered.

On September 11, 2001 the United States was attacked by Islamic Terrorists in two passenger jets, in a sneak attack on New York City that killed 2,752. There were two other flights hijacked that day, one was crashed into the Pentagon, killing 189, in both the building and the plane and the crash in the Pennsylvania field which took an additional 45 lives.

That is a total of 3,335 killed, 583 more than at Pearl Harbor. At Pearl Harbor most were military casualties, on September 11, 2001, nearly all were civilian casualties and the liberals would have you believe it never really happened.

The liberal press never runs pictures of the 9-11 events and avoids mention of 9-11 if at all possible, so as to not offend those who ordered the strikes carried out. Instead of demanding justice for those killed, they would have you believe that President Bush's declared war on Terrorism is a phoney war, that Saddam Hussein is not a terrorist, that he possessed no WMDs even though it is an historical fact that he used them on his own people, and that we will not win in Iraq. In fact the war in Iraq is over, it ended with the defeat of the Iraqi military and the capture of Saddam Hussein. What we are doing there now is attempting to keep the peace while the Iraqis build a new government, despite the internecine warfare and the efforts of non-iraqi insurgents, something the totally corrupt and impotent United Nations should be doing instead of us.

Since "Operation Iraqi Freedom" began on March 19, 2003, it is now December 2005, two years and nine months later, the U.S. casualty count stands at 2,165 killed and 15,881 wounded. About half of these casualties occurred during the war and half while attempting to keep the peace.

Have you forgotten how you felt on 9-11 when you first saw these pictures? Have you? It seems to me that everyone would rather forget than insist on justice being done. Global terrorism is real and it must be defeated. This is a war we cannot afford to lose, it must be won through any means, at any cost. Call, write, or e-mail your Senators and Representative and tell them just that. The freedom of your children and grand children is in jeopardy. DON'T EVER FORGET!

If there is any doubt that we are at war, this message should open your eyes. From the federalist 11/14/2003: Abu Salma Al-Hijazi, identified as an al-Qa'ida commander directly under Osama bin Laden, issued a new message this week during an interview from an undisclosed location. Abu Salma said that "A huge and very courageous strike will take place, possibly before the end of Ramadan (26 November), killing 100,000 "infidels" in an attack that will "amaze the world and turn al-Qa'ida into [an organization that] horrifies the world until the law of Allah is implemented...on His land. ... You wait and see that the balance of power between al-Qa'ida and its rivals will change, all of a sudden, Allah willing. ... There is no doubt that the demise of America and its collapse will lead to the collapse of these fragile regimes that depend on it... We will not stop until we establish the Islamic Caliphate and until Allah's law is implemented in His land." That should give you a pretty good idea of what they have in mind for us.

Remember also that we are in a war for survival, pitting the barbaric, medieval culture of the jihadists against Western Civilization, a war that has been going on for centuries, since at least A.D. 622. The current battle began on November 4, 1979 when the American embassy in Teheran was overrun and 52 Americans were taken hostage and held for 444 days thanks to the Carter administration's weak and ineffective response, that emboldened the hostage takers and lead to furthur aggressive action on the part of the jihadists.

There is only one way to end this war and it isn't over the negotiating table, not through humanitarian aid, not through appeasement, or monetary bribes. The goal of the jihadists is to bring about the total destruction, or conversion, of Western Civilization. We can't begin to win this war until we come to the realization that the jihadists must be totally destroyed. This is their plan for us and it must be ours for them, or we will not survive.
