"I think our governments will remain virtuous for many centuries; as long as they are chiefly agricultural; and this will be as long as there shall be vacant lands in any part of America. When they get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, they will become corrupt as in Europe." ![]()
Our Fore Fathers left to us, their future generations, a sacred trust. This sacred trust is called the Constitution of the United States of America. It was left to us in the hope that we would continue to believe and support the ideals for which they fought and died. They hoped that we would keep the torch of liberty burning brightly in the spirit of 1776. The pride and patriotism which spring from this spirit and those ideals upon which this nation was founded, are what cause us to rise above ourselves at times and perform deeds of heroism and self-sacrifice in the defense of our nation, community and family. Our Fore Fathers were visionaries of a sort and knowing the inclination of governments to usurp all power, they somewhat naively forbid future governments from infringing on the freedoms enumerated in the Bill of Rights. However, having just won their freedom by force of arms and looking across the ocean at the unarmed masses of Europe, they recognized that the threat of successful armed resistance to a tyrannical government, was the only thing that would guarantee the continuance of freedom. Regardless of what its detractors would have you believe, that is the reason for the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment reads as follows: "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State; the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." "We the People, of the United States of America...," are the government of this democratic republic. We are a government, of the People, for the People, by the People. Those few of us who take our role seriously, meet at the polls on a regular basis to elect from our midst a few citizens we hope will faithfully represent us, with honor, and integrity. In the event we have made an error in judgment, our constitution was designed to protect the people from their elected representatives, rather than to protect the elected government from the people. ![]() Today however, there are individuals in this nation, even among our elected representatives, who are betraying these ideals, and would extinguish the spirit and light of liberty. These people, who consider themselves the intellectual elite, have demonstrated, by their refusal to stand in defense of American ideals, that they hold the Constitution, and most of the American people, in contempt. These same individuals are evidently so spiritually and morally bankrupt that they would choose to let you die with your families, at the hands of criminals, rather than let you defend those lives with force. These people exist in all branches of government, the federal courts, the Justice Department, the Treasury Department, The House of Representatives, the Senate and the Oval Office. These individuals, have nothing to fear, as they live in walled communities, behind locked gates, and expensive security systems, travel in bullet proof automobiles, and surround themselves with a cadre of armed mercenaries (bodyguards). At the same time they are attempting to disarm the people of this nation, thereby robbing the common man of the means to defend himself, his family and his property. Why would our elected officials want to take away our arms when it is those very arms that guarantee the continued existence of our free society? Or, is it possible that they are afraid you would be able to protect yourselves and the nation, when they and their globalsit U.N. cronies, move to nullify the Constitution and take away your freedoms? Additionally, the Courts have ruled that no government agency, federal, state, or local has a duty to protect individual citizens. This question, therefore, shouts to be answered; Does a society that has legally announced non-responsibility for protecting its innocent citizens have a right to prevent them from doing what they can to protect themselves? ![]() ![]() |
