Scutari, D-Union, introduced the proposal in late June and plans to push it when the Legislature reconvenes late this year. He said the bill stems from an incident in a Union Township where four students were suspended after bringing a cap gun to school. "We need to stress to our children that guns are not toys, but deadly weapons which should always be regarded with extreme caution and handled with respect," Scutari said. "Restricting access to imitation firearms will help to drive that point home." Gun rights advocates plan to fight the bill. "It misses the mark because it demonizes toys instead of criminal behavior," said Scott Bach, president of the New Jersey Association of Rifle and Pistol Clubs, which is the National Rifle Association's New Jersey organization. If the measure is enacted, New Jersey would join several states that have restricted access to realistic toy guns to minors. The Senator's use of the term "stupid mistake" is a stupid mistake on the Senator's part. The statement implies that the child has been taught proper handling procedures, but is incapable of understanding them. To hear Hillary gripe about Bush's commutation of jail time for Scooter Libby, you would think Bill had never pardoned anyone. The hypocricy of the Clintons knows no bounds because they have no conscience what so ever. Here are Bill's reasons for giving the pardons.
Now we know why. So many of them are in our jails, because, according to Tavis Smiley, "blacks are just too emotional to obey the rules."

Ortega Some are calling a former U.S. Marine a hero for shooting two men — killing one — during the botched robbery of a sandwich shop in Plantation. But the men's friends and family want to know how he could gun them down and not be charged. John Lovell had just finished dinner at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday when, Plantation police say, two men armed with guns rushed inside a Subway shop and demanded cash. After robbing the store, the men turned to Lovell. They wanted his money, police said. But like his attackers, Lovell was armed. The retired military man opened fire, shooting dead Donicio Arrindell, 22, of North Lauderdale, and critically injuring Fredrick Gadson, 21, of Fort Lauderdale. Lovell, 71, of Plantation, has a valid concealed weapons permit and is not expected to be charged in the shooting, said police spokesman Detective Robert Rettig. Gadson, however, faces multiple felony charges that could include murder, he said. Under Florida law, anyone who commits a felony such as armed robbery resulting in a death can be held accountable for the capital offense. "He feared for his life," Rettig said of Lovell. "And if he's in fear for his life, then he has a right to defend himself, even if it means severe bodily injury or death." Florida law gives people the right of "self-defense without the duty to retreat." That means individuals can use deadly force virtually anywhere to prevent death or serious injury. Lovell could not be reached for comment despite calls and visits to his home.

The reason that liberal radio can't compete is that no one wants to listen to their anti-American lies and defeatist drivel. Besides, they play to an audience that has no better ideas to put forward than the radio host, so there is nothing to talk about to hold the audience's attention, which is limited in duration to begin with. Air America, the liberal and most highly hyped radio station in the past few years couldn't make it and they had no competition in their field except for NPR. Simply put, no one wanted to listen and for that reason no sponsors were forthcoming. Let's put the blame where the blame is due and not on conservative radio where the liberal audience is about 0-3 listeners. Air America SHOULD have been doing a landslide business as the only kid on the block, but to draw an audience you have to have something interesting to talk about, not just bashing Conservatives. Rep. William Jefferson, D-La., was indicted Monday on federal charges of racketeering, soliciting bribes and money-laundering in a long- running bribery investigation into business deals he tried to broker in Africa. The indictment handed up in federal court in Alexandria., Va., Monday is more than an inch thick and list 16 alleged violations of federal law that could keep Jefferson in prison for up to 200 years.
"There are lots of threats to you in the world. There's the threat of a heart attack for genetic reasons. You can't sit there and worry about everything. Get a life," he said. That "What, me worry?" attitude pretty much sums up Bloomberg's advice to New Yorkers on the terror plot. As far as he was concerned, the professionals were on it, so New Yorkers shouldn't let it tax their brains. "You have a much greater danger of being hit by lightning than being struck by a terrorist," he added. This is very much the attitude of German Jews prior to 1938. Replace the word "terrorist" with "Hitler" and that is todays head in the sand response.

More recently, Hillary Clinton outlined a broad economic vision Tuesday (5/29/07), saying it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity (ie. Socialism). The Democratic senator said what the Bush administration touts as an ownership society really is an "on your own" society that has widened the gap between rich and poor. "I prefer a 'we're all in it together' society," she said. "I believe our government can once again work for all Americans. It can promote the great American tradition of opportunity for all and special privileges for none." That means pairing growth with fairness."Fairness doesn't just happen. It requires the right government policies." Apparently Mrs. Clinton failed to read the Declaration of Independence, which states: "WE hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness..." Note it says "pursuit" of happiness. Happiness is NOT guaranteed, you must track it down and acquire it on your own. "Oh, Pres. Bush must be correct, it IS an 'on your own" society. It is NOT the government's resposibility to supply it. When governments try to supply equal happiness for all the result is always, as Winston Churchill said, equal misery for all. And do you believe that she really believes, "special privileges for none?" Last I heard, she was still claiming to be a Democrat. Gangs and gun violence are partly to blame for the rise in crime that is on pace to increase for the second straight year, says Attorney General Alberto Gonzales in a prepared speech. In response, the Justice Department is pledging to spend nearly $50 million this year to combat gangs and guns, and will push Congress to enact new laws to let the federal government better investigate and prosecute violent crime. FBI data from last fall show violent crimes, including murders and robberies, rose by 3.7 percent nationwide during the first six months of 2006. Those findings came on top of a 2.2 percent crime hike in 2005 — the first increase since 2001. (The following comments are mine.) NOTE: This tiny increase, 5.9% over two years, is because law abiding Americans still own guns and can fight back. In the U.K. where guns are illegal, in the four years from 1999 to 2003, the overall violent crime rate is up 118%. Note also, that there isn’t a single word in this article, telling us that these “teenagers and other youths” are nearly all in this country illegally. The “18th Street” and “MS-13” gangs are made up almost entirely of illegals and they aren’t all “youths.” This is just more left wing PC crap designed to mislead mainstream America and place the blame on "guns" as well as "youths" of undetermined ethenicity.

Boehner was among several GOP leaders heard on the December 1996 call, which involved ethics allegations against then-House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga. Gingrich, who was heard on the call telling Boehner and others how to react to allegations, was later fined $300,000 and reprimanded by the House. They are unhappy, because they know they have just voted for a bill that will go nowhere. It will be vetoed and rightfully so, by Pres. Bush. They could change their frowns to smiles by doing just two things, remove the pullout deadline and convert all the attached pork to war funding. I doubt that will happen though, because these guys are losers and have no idea where to find the true pulse of the nation, the one that really counts.

Air Force veteran Howard Capito was ordered to remove an American flag by the self-loathing Americans at his condo association - that is, until someone pointed out that a new federal law prohibits them from taking that action. The editorial pointed out, that federal law aside, Capito should be protected by the First Amendment. Since the Supreme Court found that American flag burning activities carried out by self-loathing Americans are constitutionally protected under the First Amendment as freedom of “expression,” shouldn’t the expression of flying the flag be equally protected? Of course it should, but don’t expect help from the defenders of tyranny at the ACLU.

The Senate's No. 3 Democrat said Sunday that Attorney General Alberto Gonzales should resign because he is putting politics above the law. Sen. Charles Schumer cited the FBI's illegal snooping into people's private lives and the Justice Department's firing of federal prosecutors. Bill Clinton fired ALL of the federal prosecutors, not just eight, and replaced them with his own toadies and, as I remember, there wasn't a single complaint from Charles Schumer, or any other Democrat for that matter. Schumer, D-N.Y., said Gonzales repeatedly has shown more allegiance to President Bush than to citizens' legal rights since taking his job in early 2005. What about the rights of all the women and children who were killed by Clinton and Reno at Mt. Carmel in Waco, Texas? He branded Gonzales, a former White House counsel, as one of the most political attorneys general in recent history. Since Janet Reno and her fawning, adoration of President Bill anyway.

They say we want to surrender in Iraq by bringing our troops home, before they have completed their task. A poll just yesterday showed that 57% of Americans actually want us to stay the course. They tell us about all the American casualties and that the American military is ill equipped and that fact is getting them killed. However, more Americans are being murdered by illegal aliens right here in the U.S. than by Islamic insurgents in Iraq. From March 3, 2003 to February 22, 2007, the number of deaths in Iraq, are reported to be 3,184. In that same period of time, illegal aliens have murdered 8,632 Americans, something that neither, the Republicans, nor the Democrats seem to care about. There are 267,000 illegals in American prisons for 1,300,000 crimes ranging from drugs to rape and murder. Why are both parties ignoring what is going on at the borders and pretending there is no problem? Why are they complaining about a four-year total of those killed in action in Iraq that is no more than two week’s worth of those killed in action during World War II? There is something very wrong going on in this country and we the people must do something about it if the politicians won’t.

A bill that would grant permanent residents and other legal immigrants the right to vote in municipal elections has been stalled in the City Council since last year. "More than 50,000 adult noncitizen taxpayers in those two districts are disenfranchised by citizenship voting laws," said Cheryl Wertz, of New Immigrant Community Empowerment, referring to today's special election for council seats in Brooklyn and Staten Island.
Councilman Charles Barron (D-Brooklyn), the sponsor of the Voting Rights Restoration Act, said that years ago, when immigrants were mostly European, they had voting rights.
"Then when the complexion of immigrants changes, then all of a sudden, the laws change," he said.
Ron Hayduk, a CUNY professor, concurred, saying immigrants voted in national elections from 1776 through 1926. The three paragraphs in green, just above are lies and distortions of the loony left. Tell a lie often enough and it may become the truth. This was a favorite ploy of Nazi, Josef Goebbels. Goebbels felt that the people were "primitive" and therefore the lies must be kept simple and repetitive. The Constitution says that anyone living in the United States, natural born or not, became citizens when the Constitution was ratified (1791) and all could vote. However, from that time on, the Constitution states in the 14th, 15th, 19th, 24th and 26th amendments that ONLY citizens of the United States, natural born, or naturalized, are eligible to vote. At no time, anywhere in the U.S. have non-citizens been able to vote legally. Not For The First Time There are two reports circulating as to whether the Border Patrol agents reported the shooting incident that occurred after the stop of a drug smuggler. A Department of Homeland Security memo says the Jose Compean reported the shooting to his superiors. A second, anonymous "federal" report, says he did not. At this point I am inclined to go with the referenced DHS memo rather than the anonymous one. Why? See the report just below. Regardless of which report is correct, failing to report the shooting is not a crime, it is simply an infraction of Border Patrol procedures and the penalty is a five day suspension without pay, not eleven years in jail. John Culberson, R-Texas A Department of Homeland Security official admitted today the agency misled Congress when it contended it possessed investigative reports proving Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean confessed guilt and declared they "wanted to shoot some Mexicans" prior to the incident that led to their imprisonment. The ever present and mysterious “gun show loophole” is a favorite among those who want to apply evermore meaningless laws to a subject already over burdened with useless oversight. The “unidentified” loophole can become anything the legislators want it to be. The gun grabbers will always have a loophole that needs closing. To set the record straight, the current “loophole” is the fabricated, or imagined, ability of criminals to purchase guns, at gun shows, that they would be unable to purchase through a gun shop. However, all local, state and federal laws applicable to gun shops also apply to gun shows. Dealers at gun shows, at least in the State of Washington, must be licensed dealers and all sales must conform to state laws and regulations. If you purchase a gun, there is a required five-day waiting period so the dealer can get a background check performed. The only exception to this is if the purchaser has a CCW (concealed carry) permit. After the CCW permit holder completes all the required forms, they can take immediate delivery of the purchased gun, because they have already had a background check performed by the issuing law enforcement agency. There are a number of Democrat, Washington State, legislators who included in their campaign promises, efforts to close the gun show “loophole.” Unfortunately, most voters today have no idea what that means, but think it must be good if it will keep criminals from purchasing a gun. Hogwash! There is NO gun show loophole in the State of Washington and criminals are no more likely to be able to purchase a gun at a gun show, than they are from any gun shop. He achieved this phenomenal accomplishment when he dissed the U.S. by calling the U.S. an "International Pariah" while attending a conference in Switzerland and while he was seated next to Mohammad Khatami, the former President of Iran. Kerry criticized what he called the "unfortunate habit" of Americans to see the world "exclusively through an American lens." In my view that is exactly what we should be doing. Way to go John you are now an American Pariah. Actually you have been for sometime, so thanks for reinforcing your position for the whole world to see. Today, John Kerry announced he would not be running for President in 2008. Associates say it is because of his "joke" about the volunteer military put voters off, but I suspect it is because Terresa doesn't want to throw good money after bad.
One of the headlines I saw on Friday boasted that recent polls show that Mrs. Pelosi has a 43% approval rating, like that was something fantastic. Obviously that also means that she has a 57% disapproval rating, something that they failed to point out, but makes more sense to me. Whether it is intentional or not, the godless left are working in concert with radical Islam to defeat George Bush and end the war on terror. They are either too blind, or too stupid, to see that it is because of leftist policies that Islam hates America in the first place. Islam hates everything that the left stands for, abortion, gay rights, secularism, feminism and just about everything else. Until we can show Islam that America is still a moral, religious country and not a secular nation, our troubles with them will continue. It is up to God loving Christians and Jews to save this country by speaking out against the left's godlessness and by putting God back into our daily lives. The threat of death has sledom if ever kept people, particularly gangsters, from committing murder. However, carrying out the death penalty on convicted killers is a definite deterrent, putting them permanently out of circulation, insuring that they will never commit murder, or any other type of crime, ever again. Many are for things that sound like worthy causes such as "hospital facilities and equipment," yet none of the sponsoring congressmen put their names on their earmarks. Not a one! For example. check out the number one item on the list for New York: "$3,000,000 New York City College of New York for the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service to prepare individuals for careers in public service, which may include establishing an endowment, library and archives for such center. In case you don't know who Charles B. Rangel is, he is a Congressman from New York and a member of the The Democratic Socialists of America, a Communist Party affiliate. By a 53-43 percent margin, Americans voted against passing more gun control laws. By a margin of 2 to 1, Americans—43 percent of whom report having a gun in their homes— rejected a ban on handgun possession. When asked the same question by Galiup in 1959, six out of 10 Americans favored a handgun ban.
Every time our young men are called to arms, there is a contingent of bleeding heart journalists, politicians and their camp followers that claim we are sending our young men out to die for their country. They know as well as we do that these young men are not being sent out to die for their country, but to kill for their country. George Patton once told his men, "I do not want you to go out there and die for your country. I want you to go out there and make the other bastard die for his country." We must keep our vision clear and focused.
Next Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, has spoken. She proclaimed today that there are no al-Qaeda in Iraq and believe me that is a relief. However, she must have received her information from the AP, which gets much of its mis-information from Captain Jamil Hussein who's only official connection may be to al-Quida. Evidently Mrs. Pelosi thinks that her elevation to Speaker, as a result of the mid-term elections has al-Qaeda running for the hills. The chances that there are no more al-Qaeda in Iraq is only slightly less than the fact that there is no "s" in Mississippi. Why blacks contribute about half of all prison inmates when they are only 13 percent of the U.S. population is subject to much speculation. Some specialists blame poverty or lack of opportunity. There are rumors floating around DC that DC and the citizen disarmament groups getting cold feet and believe that they will lose if they go to the Supreme Court. A couple of different people told me about this last night at the annual CEI dinner. My own guess is that if DC doesn't appeal after making so much noise about doing just that, citizen disarmament groups will suffer a serious black eye and will be taunted with that decision for years. For them not to go forward, they must be really worried about suffering a very serious loss at the Supreme Court.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was nominated to the Supreme Court by Bill Clinton. She is also a board member of the ACLU. Now I don't know how you feel about this, but I find it to be a HUGE conflict of interest. Especially so as the ACLU, like NAMBLA, supports child rape, in the form of adult men having sex with young boys. She may excuse herself from any case brought to the Supreme Court by the ACLU to avoid the conflict, but I don't think this is being done. If she is not excusing herself, she should be removed from the court. This is another thing that you should bring to the attention of your Representative and Senators.

I don't know about you, but it pisses me off when the Democrats try to tell me why I voted the way I did. First of all, they act like they won a landslide majority and have a mandate from the American people to do as they wish. Nothing could be farther from the truth, they won a pitifully tiny majority, just by the skin on their asses and then try to make it look like the world is theirs. My vote went two places, to those who will protect our borders from the Illegals and to those who will protect our Second Amendment rights, not to those who want to cut and run from the Iraqi conflict.
